Doreswamy has decided against participating in the 14th edition of Alva’s Nudisiri-2017 and receiving the award, citing ideological differences with the organiser. Mr. Alva was one of the patrons of the reception committee. However, acknowledging Mr. Alvas’s contribution to education, culture and literature, Mr. Doreswamy said he had great regard for the services he rendered for society. Nudisiri, a literary fest will be held from December 1 to 3 at Sundari Anand Alva campus. Mr. Doreswamy was among 14 awardees that include former judge N. Santosh Hegde, writers Siddalinga Pattanashetty, Vijaya Dabbe and K.B.
