A Turkish official at Dorçe Prefabricated Buildings, Serhat Polat Demir, announced the company’s readiness to implement mobile and rapid-installation residential zone projects tailored to Libya’s desert conditions. “We previously carried out projects in Al-Kufra region (southeastern Libya), and we are ready to transfer our expertise in building mobile, rapid-installation residential zones to new projects that suit desert conditions,” he added. The camp built by the company does not only meet housing needs but also includes integrated infrastructure designed to support the technical requirements of oil pipeline operations. The project utilized single-story modular prefabricated units installed on concrete blocks adapted to desert terrain. This system allows for soil deformation tolerance and enables the camp to be dismantled and relocated when needed.
