The finishing touches are being put in place at Porters Boutique Hotel, which will open its doors in less than a week. Privately owned by the Hawke's Bay Mackersey and Lowe families, the boutique hotel was developed after they identified a gap in the Hawke's Bay accommodation market. Ms Bowyer said as a five-star, boutique hotel, it offered the ultimate in luxury, service and facilities. "Every detail has been carefully considered from the original artworks on the walls to the plush bathrobes for guests," Ms Bowyer said. The positioning of the hotel in the centre of Havelock North would be a huge drawcard for visitors, Ms Bowyer said.
