He said these measures help reduce the cost of living for the public, attributed to surging global energy prices. Economic stimulus is insufficient for the long run. Authorities must prioritise jobs and clearly understand who will be the target groups for their economic measures. When the economy fully recovers, the government can reduce the budget deficit and create a balanced budget, said Mr Pornchai.
