Thirdway Alliance leader Ekuru Aukot has blasted religious leaders saying they are a big let-down to the country's democratic process. Aukot said on Sunday that the clergy men had allowed politicians to use church podiums as avenues for posturing and threatening their opponents. "This is wrong and must stop," Aukot said during an interview on NTV, adding church leaders must lead by preaching peace and cohesion. Jubilee and NASA leaders attended services in different churches and made their stand ahead of the repeat of the presidential election. However, some quarters are of the opinion that the 2013 Supreme Court ruling on the matter set precedent.
