Without mincing words, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that he doesn't have a "magic wand" which will resolve all the problems in the country and everything will become fine overnight, saying that the nation will have to work hard for progress. The premier's statement came a day after the federal government banned the import of luxury and essential items. The decision will hit the imports of cars, mobile phones, cosmetics, cigarettes, food products, certain garments and toiletries. Saying that the nation needed to stand on its feet, PM Shehbaz said for how long we will continue to beg for our needs. On this occasion, he also announced the removal of a 17 per cent tax on solar technology imports.
