While I didn’t really love how the story played out in any of its permutations, I enjoyed the experience of Bandersnatch overall. But if it was going to replace season 5 as many were reporting, that was a different story entirely. Netflix has said that Bandersnatch is not a stand-in for Black Mirror season 5, but instead just delayed it to a bit later in 2019, as this time last year it was already out. I’m guessing we’re about to see some crazy statistics come out about Bandersnatch and how many people “interacted” with that in its release window. I’m looking forward to more actual Black Mirror episodes, however, though I know after Bandersnatch we’re about to see a whole lore more “game-like” shows on Netflix, Black Mirror or otherwise.
