The article on donkeys published in the Sunday Standard of May 21 was excellent. When our team visited the slaughterhouse recently, the lairage was overcrowded with about 1,000 donkeys. There was very little food, no water and some of the dead donkeys were very young. Donkeys are amazing creatures.They should be treated with a lot of care.
