Bortey promised to restore Great Olympics to prominence on the local front and even help them to qualify for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Club Competitions. Despite training with the club ahead of the start of the season, Dong Bortey can no longer be seen training with the longer anymore. When asked about the availability of Dong Bortey in a Post-Match presser with the media, Coach Prince George Koffie disclosed that the player was no more with the team. He said, “When I came to the team, I never met Dong Bortey, I never trained Dong Bortey and he’s not part of the team.”Coach Prince George Koffie took over from coach Isaac Nii Armah four days to the start of the League.
