"Mavericks, Doncic officially sign a five-year supermax extension," the Mavericks said on its website. "It was the largest rookie contract extension in history," Dallas added. Last season Doncic averaged 27.7 points, 8.6 assists, and 8 rebounds per game for the Mavericks. Before Dallas, Doncic had played for the Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.
