(CNN) President Donald Trump was asked Tuesday whether he had requested that Attorney General William Barr open an investigation into the origins of the FBI's counterintelligence probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and the possibility that someone(s) in Trump's campaign colluded with the Russians. "I didn't ask him to do it," replied Trump. Which, well, OH MY GOD. Unless Barr was on a different planet for, say, the past 18 months, he HAS to know exactly what Trump thinks of the FBI investigation (and the special counsel that followed) and his desire for there to be an investigation into the investigation. Trump has literally said -- and tweeted -- that very idea hundreds of times.
