Donald Trump says the Obama administration have sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for 'peanuts.' Photo: APTokyo: President Donald Trump said he wouldn’t visit London next month to open a new US embassy because his predecessor, Barack Obama, made a “bad deal” selling the previous site. The BBC said Downing Street has declined to comment on the move, but was considering options for a state visit later in the year. May told the BBC earlier this month that Trump would be making a visit to Britain, without giving a time frame. While the sale was made under Obama’s watch, the decision to relocate the embassy was made under George W. Bush in 2008.
