A former Scottish Conservative MP has lifted the lid on Donald Trump's "strong personal connection" to Scotland which he says will make him the best President for Britain. Thomson – who has met the tycoon on "several occasions" – said: "When I last saw President Trump, we discussed the current state of Scottish politics. Under President Trump, the special relationship flourished. "I've met President Trump on several occasions, both in Aberdeen and at his Florida home, Mar-a-Lago. You could argue that President Trump has done more for Scotland than some of our own, local, politicians."
