Donald Trump said he will meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto Wednesday before he unveils his immigration plan in Arizona later in the day. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 31, 2016In a tweet, the office of the Mexican president confirmed the meeting. According to the Washington Post, Peña Nieto invited Trump to meet with him last Friday. Trump’s visit with the Mexican president comes after a long year of negative press about his tone deaf attempts and lack of outreach to the Latino community. In addition to the border wall, Trump has spoken negatively about Mexican immigrants, pandered to Latinos with a taco salad tweet on Cinco De Mayo and attacked a federal judge’s “Mexican” heritage.
