Donald Trump At Phyllis Schlafly Funeral: 'She Was There For Me When It Was Not At All Fashionable'

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump eulogized conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly on Saturday, calling her a “strong, proud, fierce and tireless warrior,” at funeral services in St. Louis, Missouri. She died at her home in the St. Louis suburb of Ladue, Missouri in the presence of her family, according to a statement from Eagle Forum, the conservative organization she founded. “Phyllis was there for me when it was not at all fashionable, trust me,” Trump attendees at the service. “Even at the age of 92, this beloved woman had more strength, fire, and heart than 50 strong politicians all put together,” Trump said. She was still a conservative force and popular speaker in her 90s, endorsing Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016 and praising his policy on immigration.
