Trump first suggested he had secret recordings in a tweet in May, days after he fired Comey . The FBI director had been leading the bureau’s investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to influence the outcome of the 2016 election. James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press! Trump had raised the possibility of tapes as a way “to ensure that Comey told the truth,” sources familiar with the situation told Bloomberg.
