Don Mattingly is going into the last season of a four-year contract to manage the Miami Marlins. “No, there’s no talks about anything moving forward,” said Mattingly, going into his seventh year as a big-league manager, his first three with the Los Angeles Dodgers. “I’m at a point now where I’m old enough where I’m really not worrying about what’s happening next. “I remember nothing negative about that, really,” Mattingly said in the rosy glow of hindsight. You have to believe anything can happen.”Whether Mattingly is going to be part of that phase is an open question.
