John Heaney, Premier Rachel Notley’s chief of staff, is a “Registered Election Advertising Sponsor” for the British Columbia campaign now under way. Last Thursday, Notley banned her political staff from campaigning for the B.C. On Monday, it emerged that Heaney, Notley’s chief of staff at an annual salary of $287,000, is on the advertising sponsor list with Elections B.C., the non-partisan oversight body. Heaney is working hard for our government and is not in any way involved in the B.C. He took over as chief of staff after the departure of Notley’s original chief, Brian Topp, last Dec. 15.
