Two dogs reportedly died in a hot vehicle hold on an Interislander ferry from Picton to Wellington on Monday night. (File photo)Two dogs are reported to have died in a hot ferry hold while crossing the Cook Strait. It is understood the dogs were in the vehicle hold of an Interislander ferry which departed Picton for Wellington on Monday evening. A source told Stuff the inside of the hold had been hot when it left Picton. SPCA communications manager Jessie Gilchrist said officers were aware of the incident and an investigation was under way.
