A suspected dog thief has been beaten to death by residents of a Chinese village after being caught snatching their pets, according to reports. The suspected dog thief and his two accomplices have been accused of stealing pet dogs in the village of Baijun in southern China's Guangxi Province. Yulin, a city of around seven million people, holds an annual dog meat festival on the summer solstice. The Yulin Dog Meat Festival takes place every year on the summer solstice.
