A dog was shot and killed in an apparent home invasion in northeast Calgary on Wednesday night. "It appears to be a home invasion robbery," he said. "Shots were fired from what we believe was a shotgun, at which time a dog in the residence was killed." The two men are facing charges of break and enter to commit an offence, using a firearm in commission of an offence, possession of a dangerous weapon, and cruelty to an animal.
