PICTOU, N.S.—Police are hoping for a full recovery for a dog that was removed from a home in Pictou County, N.S., last week in an alleged animal cruelty case. In an email, RCMP spokesman Cpl. Andrew Joyce says the dog is “responsive and recovering,” two days after she was found injured in the home and taken to a veterinary clinic. Police responded to the property on Maple Street in Sylvester after receiving a report about cruelty to animals.
