Does class size matter in public schools?


Achievement test scores between students in a small class size and those from a large class size may be a good basis in determining whether it correlates to quality education. There can be no genuine education reform if it damages private education institutions or marginalize those teaching in the private schools. After all, teachers, whether teaching in public schools or private schools, are performing the public function of teaching the learners. The education secretary should be reminded that the Department of Education serves both public and private education, and not only the public schools. Association of Private Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAPSCU), and the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, & Universities (PAASCU).
