Dodgers get reliever Jesse Chavez from Toronto for Mike Bolsinger

Hours after adding Oakland outfielder Josh Reddick and starting pitcher Rich Hill, the Dodgers have acquired Toronto reliever Jesse Chavez in exchange for minor-league swingman Mike Bolsinger, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The Dodgers also announced they had acquired reliever Josh Fields from the Houston Astros in exchange for minor league first baseman Yordan Alvarez. The Dodgers are hopeful Chavez and Fields can aid a bullpen that has shown some signs of fatigue in the past two weeks. Bolsinger managed to make 21 starts for the Dodgers in 2015 with a 3.61 ERA. But he got hammered in the majors this season, relegated to the minors with a 6.83 ERA in six starts.
