Clayton Kershaw will throw one inning in Saturday’s Cactus League opener for the Dodgers, Manager Dave Roberts said on Thursday morning. The team has lined up the rotation so Rich Hill will start Sunday and Kenta Maeda will start Monday. The abbreviated outing for Kershaw is a result of the World Baseball Classic, which has elongated spring training. “We’d prefer him at third base,” Roberts said. As we move forward, we’ll see how things play out.”The Dodgers will give Chase Utley some time at first base this spring.
