Doctors in Prince George, B.C., are testing locally made intubation boxes to be used while working with COVID-19 patients. Because physicians are busy with meetings and constantly changing guidelines in hospitals, he is unsure when that might be. The intubation box was originally designed by Dr. Hsien Yung Lan in Taiwan, and thanks to open-source data sharing, people around the world have been able to build their own intubation boxes. The intubation box is meant to be used in conjunction with personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves.
