The doctors' strike has caused the death of many innocent patients. Both doctors and the Government are to blame for the current impasse. The rise in industrial actions in Kenya such as that of doctors and teachers is mainly fuelled by the high salaries for the political class. It will lead to a situation where all workers in Kenya would demand hefty abnormal pay rises which the economy cannot sustain. When President Uhuru went to India, there were hopes that he could come back with ideas how to revive pharmaceutical sector.
