More than 200 non-migrants, including people without any travel history, have tested positive for Covid-19 in Jharkhand in June, indicating that the state could be headed for community transmission of the coronavirus, although health officials disagree. However, doctors involved in treating Covid patients in Jharkhand maintained that coronavirus is far from reaching the stage of community transmission in the state. “Most of the non-migrants, who tested positive for Covid-19 in Ranchi, had a travel history. As many as 70 non-migrants tested positive for Covid-19 in May and even fewer in the former months, government figures stated. Even some survivors of road accidents have tested positive lately.
