Doctors in Scotland must receive a pay rise in line with their English colleagues, a union said as it warned that a poor deal would be the “last straw”. BMA Scotland urged ministers to award consultants a pay increase in line with the 2.5 per cent announced yesterday for England by Philip Hammond, the chancellor.
