The doctors fear: "If we cannot save ourselves, how can we ensure proper treatment during this coronavirus pandemic." Chief Administrator of Bangladesh Doctors' Foundation Dr Nirupom Das told Dhaka Tribune: “We want a specialized hospital only for doctors who will be affected. “It is not exactly a specialized hospital, so we need to do something for the doctors,” the president added. “Protection has to be ensured immediately for health service providers including doctors, otherwise the crisis may worsen,” said the former VC. Bangladesh has so far recorded three deaths and 33 infections from Covid-19, a pandemic announced by the World Health Organization (WHO).
