Dr Fawad Mumtaz, the doctor who allegedly performed an illegal kidney surgery on comedian Omer Shareef’s daughter Hira Omer that resulted in her death, is on the run. “Dr Fawad already has a history of illegal kidney transplants and an FIR has been lodged against him. According to initial information, around Rs3.4 million were given to Dr Fawad Mumtaz for Hira’s kidney transplant. They will also try to retrieve the amount that Fawad received for Hira’s transplant. Her family said that the doctor and his medical staff conducted illegal transplantation of Hira’s kidney without permission or need to do so.
