The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) has developed a quick response (QR) code that takes the body temperature and writes down contact details that allows quick tracing of visitors and employees. The department said the QR code would help contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), particularly in the industry-rich Region 4A (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon or Calabarzon). The online health checklist, which functions like a digital logbook using QR codes, was rolled out by DoLE’s Regional Office in Calabarzon to screen all visitors and employees. Workers and clients entering the regional office are required to scan the QR code first using their mobile phones or tablets. Those with Apple gadgets can use their cameras to scan the QR code, while Android users are encouraged to download the Google Lens application to scan the code.
