Do photography bans help curb overtourism and bad behavior?

Some hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions such as museums have put strict limits on photography, others outright banning it. The late architect Luis Barragan's home in Mexico City bans visitors from taking pictures inside. For some attractions struggling to raise funds or pay for maintenance projects, visitors' photography addictions can be another source of cash. Meanwhile, not every attraction is able to invest the time and money it can take to enforce photography bans. The Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, a longtime celebrity favorite, bans photography in its restaurants and public spaces.
