The bosses of universities including Warwick, Essex, Loughborough, Lancaster, Goldsmiths University of London and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) have said their negotiators should get back around the table with the lecturers’ union to avoid damaging the education of students. Universities face 14 days of strikes by lecturers between now and the end of the spring term in a row over pensions.
