I recently noticed how an increasing amount of CNN’s content is only “For Subscribers”? Now it’s easy to argue that they need to offset the cost of their reporting (tons of sites don’t, but let’s put that aside for the moment). That is, the article was blocked, but the advertisement that stretched across the entire top of the screen was not. So they doubtlessly charged the advertiser for my page visit while delivering zero services to me, their customer. Bye bye, you fascist ripoffs.
