Do Not Downplay the Cries of the Majority for the Interest of a Minority Few, Mr. President - News Summed Up

Do Not Downplay the Cries of the Majority for the Interest of a Minority Few, Mr. President

There is no doubt that that the power of the majority is the driving force to every major decision, including elective, in our democracy. As President George Weah may be aware, it was the will of the majority that led him to power in 2017 despite the many challenges that characterized the election that year. The above premise is meant to register to President Weah that the tolerance of the people cannot be used to downplay their quest for what they think is good for them. While you may be enjoying their “love” for you, Mr. President, it is about time to listen and find a way to address the issues confronting Liberians. We, therefore, urge that since Liberians are calm and want to adhere to the rule of law, Mr. President, please listen to their pleas and not to protect the interest of a few others to the detriment of the majority.
