The writer of Psalm 121 understands the nature of God’s help and decides to go for God’s help. What we need all of the time is divine help because without divine help, our hopelessness cannot turn around (John 5:7-9). Therefore God’s help can prevent us from experiencing evil and save us from consequences of evil – God’s help is available in all situations of life – it is available at every season of life, hence God’s help is dependable, at all times and seasons of life. Another way to enjoy divine help is to follow the divine plan of God for his life as laid down in the scripture. When we do this, divine help is certain for us; and when divine help is certain, victory, success and breakthrough are all certain for us.
