In many ways, the story isn’t about one law firm. Having multiple perspectives in leadership at a law firm helped firms do better work, people told us. As such, they felt it would only work in the firms’ best interests to do things in a more inclusive way. They felt Paul, Weiss should extend that same benefit of the doubt to a promising minority candidate from a historically black school, and they felt like they were encountering some resistance in trying to do that.
