Last Saturday was however, a great fun time- a community celebration. This has been clearly illustrated by the community's love of celebrations such as Southland Multicultural Council's Food Festival, Miharo's Polyfest, The Buskers Festival, ILT Kidzone, Diwali and Matariki. It would be great to have more celebrations that reflect our community and the richness that we have within it. Recently the Southland Multicultural Council hosted a Latin Fest to celebrate the Hispanic culture of our Latin American community. The richness and diversity of people within our community is growing.
