A dive team is working to retrieve a car found submerged in the Ottawa River, about 100 feet off the shore on the Ontario side, near Lower Duck Island. Someone walking their dog on the Ottawa River Path called 911 around 8 a.m., after seeing tire tracks leading toward the river. There's nobody in the car in the river. pic.twitter.com/heiEuW1GF6 — @amkfooteCrews initially believed bicycle tracks veered off a bike path toward the rocks but a search revealed a vehicle underwater, according to Ottawa Fire Services. Ottawa police have spoken to the owner of the car but have yet to determine how the car got in the river.
