Between 2030 and 2050, climate change is expected to cause approximately 250,000 additional deaths per year, from malnutrition, malaria, diarrhea and heat stress. Bearing testimony to that fact is Pakistan’s 7th rank on the global climate risk and vulnerability index. Owing to this, the ministry of climate change was formed in 2017 to steer the nation into a greener state. Taking cognizance of the matter, the affluent local community was motivated to install solar panels in these schools. They were asked to install solar panels as an equitable and cost-effective solution to the issue.
