District Council recognises outstanding work from 'Hurricane Katrina'ANDY JACKSON/Fairfax NZ A little rain never stopped Kat McNab helping out at the annual Lepperton School gala with lawn mower racing. Lepperton's Katrina McNab was awarded one of nine Citizens' Awards by the New Plymouth District Council in recognition of her outstanding volunteer services to the community. McNab, aka "Hurricane Katrina" because she has energy even the energiser bunny would envy, has relentlessly provided support to the Lepperton and Waitara communities for years.
