Diss signed off for the year sitting sixth in the Counties 2 Eastern Counties standings following last weekend’s 12-7 victory on the road at Wymondham II. The first 10 minutes were evenly balanced until pressure on a Wymondham ruck by Diss’ open-side flanker Charlie Botting led to a knock on by the visitors’ 22m line. Wymondham applied more pressure from the restart, but the Diss defence was resolute and smothered each attack. The opening 10 minutes of the second half were scoreless, with two Diss substitutions made. Diss re-organised with Hemmant slotting in at scrum half and George West moving over to Inside centre.
