Another gold was secured in the 200m butterfly race, as some of the club’s younger swimmers represented the club in their very first open competition away from the Diss pool. Diss Otters have had another successful month of competition. Head coach Laura Goodswen was quick to praise the club’s swimmers for their efforts during the competition. For some of the 25 club swimmers, the competition gave them their first experience of competing in an Olympic-size 50m swimming pool. The competition spurred the club’s swimmers to produce some of their best performances of the season, with multiple 40+ second personal bests produced in the 200m and 400m events and a huge 70 per cent of swims resulting in personal best times.
