A wet and gloomy November may have put paid to Blenheim's chances of reclaiming the national sunshine title. A sparkling October, when Blenheim's 224.8 hours of sunshine made it the sunniest spot in the country for the month, put it just three hours behind Whakatāne in total sunshine hours for the year and 24 hours behind Richmond.
