The photos are of famous film stars from Hong Kong who had dined in the restaurant in the 1960s. Yew Kong’s son, Loh Weng Wa then took over the business. He beamed with pride upon relating the history of the restaurant, recollecting the names of the film stars who had dined there. “You must know how to choose,” said Weng Wa who learned to cook from his mother when he was five years old. Weng Wa also believes in saving energy and proudly notes that his restaurant is the only one in the area without air-conditioning.
