Disgraced Michael Matheson under threat as SNP forced to compensate medical centre who hit out at last minute visit cancellation
Correspondence between Whitevale Medical Centre and the Scottish Government shows that officials at the Glasgow premises were angered by the no-show. Scottish Tory shadow health secretary Dr Sandesh Gulhane was angered by this revelation, and called on Mr Matheson to resign. He told the Scottish Daily Express: "First Michael Matheson tried to have the taxpayer foot the bill for his £11,000 worth of roaming charges. The discredited and distracted Michael Matheson is not fit to be Health Secretary. Michael Matheson is going to have to face the hard fury of NHS staff sooner or later.
