Disgraced New Zealand businessman Sir Ron Brierley has lost his knighthood. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced the move today, which follows Brierley (83) pleading guilty to possessing child abuse images in Australia, where he resides. Ron Brierley has admitted possessing child sexual abuse material and faces 10 years in jail. The forfeiture follows the Prime Minister initiating the process to remove his knighthood. Wellington College, where Brierley attended high school, severed ties with the disgraced businessman after his guilty plea.
