A report by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation explained that the vision seeks to limit the negative effects of the depletion of traditional energy sources that are exhaustible by nature, and to increase reliance on renewable energy sources while achieving leadership in them. The updated vision proposes ways and policies to enhance sustainable energy systems and resources, including:- Creating an attractive climate for investment in the field of new and renewable energy. - Stimulating private sector participation in implementing renewable energy power generation projects by creating a competitive electricity market. - Following up on developments in electricity storage technologies related to renewable energy systems. - Increasing the capacity of the electricity grid to absorb electricity from renewable sources.
