“The district administration scrutinised the facts on the directions of the Election Commission of India. The report of the findings has been sent to the Election Commission ,” said district magistrate of Rampur Shiv Sahay Awasthi. The Election Commission ordered the fact checking exercise following a complaint filed by Akash Saxena, son of former MLA of Swar Shiv Bahadur Saxena. In his complaint against Abdullah, Saxena mentioned over 10 discrepancies in the election nomination form filed by the latter in the recent state election. Meanwhile, in a written statement, Abdullah Azam Khan has criticised the district administration for the report.
